Dear prospective SMA families,

We have seen many new families express interest in getting their children into the youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program at our academy! We are so sad that we can't accept all new youth students at this time due to the current situation we are finding ourselves in. BJJ Is a very contact heavy sport and we want to make sure that we're giving all of our new students the heathiest and most unaltered introduction into our academy. While most classes continue, we have not yet completely reopened and resumed 100% normal operations.

We wanted to share some behind the scenes for our prospective SMA families as we pride ourselves on being open and transparent. Most of our class rosters cap out at 20-30 students and all of our rosters were completely full prior to our closure in March. We had waiting lists forming at that time. A large number of our current youth students are still "frozen" as this was an option that we have provided for them back when we were unable to train in person at the academy. This means our youth rosters are currently in limbo. We cannot give away these students spots in our roster and our mat space can only hold so many students at a time!

However, we have had some spots open up in some of our class sections. If you are not aware we have four age groups at our academy: 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, and 11-13. We hope to be announcing registration for these newly open spots soon! When we are ready we will send out an email for each newly opened class section. Please stay on the lookout for those emails!

Again, we thank you for your patience and desire to attend our academy. We are confident you and your child will find a new home here at SMA! We are so excited by the idea of being able to accept new youth students! We have spoken with many of you in person, on the phone, or via email and we are humbled by your excitement and desire to have your child train in this sport. We will continue to stay in contact and will hopefully soon provide some info on the first class section to open up.

Thank you,

The Miller Brothers
